2 062.051 stops at Knin on the Zagreb to Split line on 14 February 1997 with train B721, 07:00 Zagreb Gl.kol. to Split.
Note the overhead wires. Knin was the limit of electrification on the main route through to Split via Novi Grad and Bihać in Bosnia. The alternative route from Zagreb through to Knin was only ever electrified as far as Oštarije with the wires continuing to Rijeka. With the outbreak of war in Croatia and Bosnia during 1990s, railway services were suspended on both routes to through to Split. Upon reinstatement, services through to Split, took the Oštarije route thus changing to diesel traction there. Although the electrified route via Bosnia south of Martin Brod has seen some freight traffic since the war ended, it has now been declared closed due to poor track condition. With the overhead wires being in poor condition too, electric traction was never used beyond Novi Grad since the war ended hence have been unused for over 20 years now here at Knin.
